Unisono Sweet Spot Indicator
Professional tool for recording engineers and and piano technicians. The only app that indicates the sweet spots where an instrument sounds best for recording!
Unisono´s unique realtime tone visualizations assists for optimizing acoustic instrument recordings by indicating the sweet spot locations of the instrument tones. Sound engineers usually listen by ear, where an instrument sounds best to place the microphone; now possible with Unisono Sweet Spot Indicator: move the app device´s microphone to a location where most of the separately played tones used in the performance produce preferably a round shape in the medium and lower range.
- Unisono lets you produce amazing visual snapshots of your tones and helps to improve the voicing of your instrument or voice as well. Use the On/Off button to take a steady picture of your most impressive tone shape visualizations.
- Piano technicians can use it for final testing of unisons after the main tuning and voicing process. Unisono detects false beats or other tonal problems of the instrument, or indicates immediately if two or three strings of a piano unison are out of tune, or give piano tuners assistance for the voicing process (treating of the hammer felt hardness).
- Unisono includes a chromatic tuner indicating deviation of the dominant partial from scientific pitch (equal temperament, A=440, octave ratio 2/1). The yellow pointer ranges from -50 to + 50 cents and the green pointer ranges from -25 -to +25 cents. To change pitch of A=440 Hz, use the + and - buttons to change pitch in steps of 0.1 Hertz.
